Physical Ministries

Physical ministries is the legacy of Hills and Hollers Ministries. Our roots reach back over 30 years. During this time, McCreary County was the beneficiary of thousands of volunteers, from numerous churches, that volunteered countless hours, to do home building and repair as summer missionaries. As the original organization began morphing into HHM, our ministry reach started to expand. We still have and will grow a very vital home repair ministry. This is really the main thrust of our volunteer base. In the summer of 2006, we saw 13 volunteer organizations come into the hills and hollers of McCreary County to repair housing. Volunteers come and go however. HHM remains ever present.

HHM has partnered with other ministries to provide food, clothing and shelter. We see this as key to meeting people where they are. We also maintain a benevolent fund to help as many folks as we can when the only thing left to do is give. Physical ministries are vital to our vision. Rev. Hilton Duncan, co-director of Integrated Community Ministries (ICM), rolls up his sleeves and mixes mortar for the block foundation of their new distribution center.  Hills and Hollers Ministries has come alongside these servants of the Lord to provide this much needed facility.

The Dobbs family is in the process of being blessed by the Lord, through the good people from Christ Community Church, Franklin Tennessee.  This wonderful group of missionaries joins us each year to bring the Gospel, the Good News, to the people of McCreary County. ...more
